    Full, voting membership. This membership category is for any person who is 16 years of age and who is a farmer, member of a farm family, employed at a farmer-owned cooperative, dealing in a product or service necessary to the farm or rural community, member of the clergy, employee on a farm, widow of a farmer, or retired farmer. Membership includes The Kontact, KFU's quarterly publication; monthly e-newsletters; and periodic action alerts via email from KFU and NFU.

KFU is the state’s oldest general farm organization working to protect and enhance the economic interests and quality of life for family farmers and ranchers and rural communities. We believe family ownership of farm land is the basis for the world’s most viable system of food production. Maintaining this family farm system preserves our natural and human resources and promotes a strong rural economy and vibrant social structure.
