Farmer Veteran Risk Management Education Conference
June 26, 2015 @ 8:00 am - June 27, 2015 @ 5:00 pm CDT
Farmer Veteran Coalition together with Drake University Ag Law Center and FamilyFarmed.org invite veterans to participate in a FREE 2-day conference located in Kansas City, Missouri. These organizations have over 100 years of combined experience supporting farm families, beginning farmers, and farmer veterans in the U.S. Through the Farmer Veteran Risk Management Education Project we aim to deliver comprehensive education and risk management training to veterans to assist them in identifying and managing production, marketing, legal, financial, and human risk areas. Additionally we will be covering some basic areas such as business and financial planning as well as how to use the Homegrown By Heroes label to help your business standout amongst competition in the market place and on store shelves.
The conference will be held at the Platte County Convention Bureau in Kansas City Missouri on June 26th and 27th. The goal of this two day conference is to deliver comprehensive training to veterans to assist them in identifying and managing production, marketing, legal, financial, and human risk areas. This is a USDA funded conference and includes Nebraska, Missouri, Colorado and Kansas. The cost of the conference is free but food, transportation and overnight accommodations will be the responsibility of the veteran. The Farmer Veteran Coalition noted that if a veteran would greatly benefit from attending the conference but cannot afford travel and/or accommodations to contact the Farmers Veteran Coalition.
Pre-registration is required. Contact Chet Bennetts at firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up.
